Jörg Dickmann’s artistic style has been affirmed on several escapades to the United States, Asia, Australia, and throughout Europe, particularly on his travels through Switzerland. The photographer devotes himself in particular to urban photography on his travels, but the fact of living near the Alps enables him to broaden his photographic style and to include not only urban landscapes but also natural ones. Beginning in Düsseldorf, he was firstly interested in the works of influential artists, particularly the objective movement initiated by Bernd and Hilla Becher. The local context helped, because the city is traditionally a hub of the German artistic avant-garde, including Sigmar Pölke and Gerhard Richter. A serious globetrotter, Jörg Dickmann spent some time in Switzerland to share the beauty and diversity of this country with us. Whether it be major cities such as Basel and Zurich, or vertiginous peaks that tower above the land, the photographer remains loyal to the very high-definition digital shots that define his style.  ...
