It all fell into place when she first tried an Instamatic. Laurence Laborie, born in Normandy in 1967, was just a teenager then, but this discovery planted a seed. After brilliant studies as an engineer and throughout her extensive travels, this passion for the magic of images never left her. At 24, when she was approached for a career in modelling, and it all became very natural: photography was her true vocation. First, she tried her hand at natural lighting, but her research into beauty soon led her to fabricated studio lighting. In search of aestheticism, she focuses her elegant gaze on women, endlessly seducing major fashion brands. “I indulge in the pleasures of photography to satisfy my curiosity about what gives beauty meaning : its emotional space.” Her client list notably features big names such as Vogue, L’Officiel, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, and Glint.
