Taking a landscape photograph isn’t an easy exercise. Unlike studio pictures, landscape photographs are taken out of doors, in constantly changing environments. The shades, colours, and luminosity change throughout the day, it is therefore essential to take into consideration all of these elements to capture the shot that will be the most faithful to the reality of the moment. The photographer captures all of these variations in order to inscribe the photograph within a context, giving it character and a story. All of the beauty of a landscape resides in the instantaneous retranscription that the photographer has been able to obtain upon their arrival at the shooting location.
