Davit and Natia are married and are Luka’s parents, who was just two months old when they arrived in France, after fleeing Georgia, which had become too dangerous for the young family. They lived for a while in their car, near Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, before joining the Clermont-based Emmaüs community in 2018. It was right in the middle of a sale at the shop that Natia’s waters broke, following her second pregnancy. Too late for the maternity ward, Lucy was born in the heart of the community and became an Emmaüs poster girl of sorts!
Part of the proceeds from the sale of these photographs will be paid to Emmaüs after the exhibition.
