MORE INFORMATION ABOUT DELIVERY

About the artwork

Francis Meslet has an obsession: restoring life to abandoned places. Far from being sad or silent, his photos transcend these places and lead the spectators to imagine the laughter of children inside or the religious chants from a church. Francis Meslet has made poet Paul Valery?s words his motto: ?It depends on those who pass / Whether I am a tomb or treasure / Whether I speak or am silent / The choice is yours alone / Friend, do not enter without desire! ?

“I am particular sensitive to architecture. The talent and engineering deployed by people in service to a cause fascinates me. Pushing back the limits of balance and aesthetics, taming light and space.”
