<p>Laurent Paillier photographs two bodies in mid-dance, reduced to mere silhouettes, within the limited color palette that characterizes his studio work. Against a turquoise background, a dancer leaps with a straight leg, head raised toward the sky, in an almost athletic gesture. Against a red background, a second dancer spreads his arms wide, one leg bent, perfectly balanced. Two colors, two gestures, the same abstract and minimalist approach, focused solely on the body’s ballet, silhouetted against the light.
