Eleonora Laufer is a self-taught photographer, born and based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her work focuses on silent landscapes—on what remains when human activity fades away: a discreet presence, almost as if etched into the landscape. She constructs her images using a minimalist visual language and soft, almost faded colors to capture the tension between stillness and movement—a theme that has always fascinated her. Before photography came dance: more than fifteen years of practice and work on body awareness, which honed her keen sense of balance, rhythm, and space. This is undoubtedly the source of her unique way of composing an image—almost as one would compose a movement—by seeking the exact point of balance before pressing the shutter.
