Urban space stimulates the artistic creation of Laurent Dequick. He lets himself be surprised by the traces of the past – the structure, the architecture or the monuments – as well as by the signs that the contemporary city shows – the signs, the signage or the advertisements. The photographer systematically seeks to access the myths that certain images have created, peddled or conveyed in collective memory.
