A professional architect, from the earliest days of his career as a photographer Laurent Dequick has developed theories on the contemporary city. Seeking to express the frenetic impression stemming from the density of the population and activity in urban areas, he juxtaposes, superimposes, and imbricates the shots to form ‘moving’ images. As he traverses the major cities of the world, his unique photographic work echoes Cubism with its abstract rendering.
