The artist

Since 1997 the collector André Robé has bought slides from the personal archives of private individuals. It was not enough for André Robé to simply buy and collect. About the artwork

These photos are of table soccer players in the 1950s-60s and were selected for their evocative power. The weight of the years and the hundreds of matches that they've played have disfigured them in some way, allowing them to acquire their own identity, which differentiates and humanizes them. The table soccer players have a soul that has eventually been revealed over time.
