MORE INFORMATION ABOUT DELIVERY

The artist

With a background in engineering, Arne Östlund considered photography a pastime but fate decided otherwise. It all started in 1989 when he bought a Pentax LX, his first camera. Based in Eskilstuna, Sweden, this fan of abstract photography practised and enjoyed himself. Over the years, he learned from his experience and his avid reading. In 2012, he bought a new digital camera. This transition enabled him to experiment with new modes, by editing his computers on his computer. Photography started to take up more and more space in his life and, in 2014, he decided to create Galleri Kaos with his wife, also an artist-photographer. This digital gallery enables them to exhibit their work and make it accessible to the public. Since then, the couple have held numerous exhibitions in various cities throughout Sweden and Norway (including Galleri SoHo, Vasteras; Librairie Mariefred; CuLTUREN, Vasteras; Berlevåg Havnemuseum).  ... About the artwork

Based in Eskilstuna, Sweden, photographer Arne Östlund works mainly outdoors, in the midst of nature. In 2012, he made the transition to digital equipment. His favourite subject – the natural world – has however remained unchanged. He enjoys the new possibilities offered by digital technology through post-production editing. As is the case in this series IMPRESSIONISM, he satisfies his various desires for abstraction, lack of focus, and overprinting, creating original artworks on the borders between painting and photography.

As Damien Dufresne says himself: "I let my hands do the talking". His approach is totally new in that it's at the crossroads of makeup, body art, artistic direction and photography. The resulting complexity, technicality and beauty are impressive. Damien Dufresne, a make-up arti...

PEDRO JARQUE KREBS

Ferocious beauties isolated from all context, as though they had been captured in their most secret intimacy, this is the remarkable artistic gesture of Peruvian photographer Pedro Jarque Krebs, restoring to the animals some of their stolen dignity. After studying philosophy at t...
