With a background in engineering, Arne Östlund considered photography a pastime but fate decided otherwise. It all started in 1989 when he bought a Pentax LX, his first camera. Based in Eskilstuna, Sweden, this fan of abstract photography practised and enjoyed himself. Over the years, he learned from his experience and his avid reading. In 2012, he bought a new digital camera. This transition enabled him to experiment with new modes, by editing his computers on his computer. Photography started to take up more and more space in his life and, in 2014, he decided to create Galleri Kaos with his wife, also an artist-photographer. This digital gallery enables them to exhibit their work and make it accessible to the public. Since then, the couple have held numerous exhibitions in various cities throughout Sweden and Norway (including Galleri SoHo, Vasteras; Librairie Mariefred; CuLTUREN, Vasteras; Berlevåg Havnemuseum).
