About the artwork

Gary Sheridan is a conceptual photographer. The winner of many awards (International Photography Awards 2018 and 2019, Fine Art Photography Awards 2019, World’s Top 10 Fashion Photo 2018), the artist based in Flintshire, Wales splits his time between his artistic and professional practice. Drawn from his personal collection, The Tyde Begins to Turn is a stimulating conceptual photograph. It involves the spectator in a thought process that is both aesthetic and societal.

The artist

Based in the magnificent countryside of northern Wales, Gary Sheridan is an internationally-recognised conceptual photographer. His professional adventure began in 2001, when he began studying photography at the University of Wolverhampton in Great Britain. His style changed as he gained new skills. He quickly discovered a passion for conceptual photography. Having been awarded multiple prizes for his artwork - International Photography Awards 2018 and 2019, Fine Art Photography Awards 2019, World’s Top 10 Fashion Photo 2018 - Gary Sheridan splits his time between his professional and artistic practices. His vibrant, seductive art brings together aesthetics and humour to share his vision of a tormented society with viewers. He is inspired by human behaviour and makes people react. Also a member of the famous Royal Photographic Society, the artist shows his work throughout the United Kingdom.  ... See more See less
