About the artwork

Far from the hip neighbourhoods of London and New York, in Japan, SOHO refers to the real estate concept of “Small Office Home Office” – basically a property asset that can be used both as an apartment and an office. On the island of Odaiba, in the bay of Tokyo, one SOHO complex stands out. Its reliefs and colours are inspired by its homonyms, creating a sense of creative freedom. Unsurprisingly, this did not escape the eye of French photographer Thibaud Poirier, on a brief visit to the Japanese capital.
