About the artwork

Laurent Baheux presents images that insist on the almost human attitudes of certain animals. He refrains from calling himself a wildlife photographer. His exclusive mission is that of capturing the beauty of a threatened world and he feels deeply inspired by the work of Peter Beard. Photographed in 2015 in the heart of Tanzania, a pair of lions laze about on the plain. The photographer took advantage of a moment of respite for the two predators to show the calm and serenity of a life of freedom. Here, no cages or bars, the animals live their wild lives in harmony with their environment.
