The artist

Eric Lignier was only 14 when he bought his first camera. From that moment on, the artist says that he definitively “stopped looking at the floor”. Years later, he moved to Paris, where he soon 16aborated with numerous prestigous magazines such as Dapper Dan, Art Review, M Le Monde, and many more. He develops his knowledge of urban territory which he showcases in modern compositions with conceptual accents. His favourite subject remains architecture, which he has nevertheless staged many times, but his fresh and poetic pictures are not limited to architecture. Eric Lignier has also found fame with female nudes, which he revisits with an incomparable personal touch. Convinced that beauty slumbers within all things and all people, Eric Lignier invites audiences to lift their eyes and enjoy the show.  ... See more See less

About the artwork

“The women who were posing for me weren’t always models. Often, they didn’t like their body and my lens and I were there to tell them ‘You are beautiful’.” Based in Paris, the French photographer has devoted himself to photography for the last fourteen years to reveal the beauty slumbering within all things and all people. With his images, he invites the audience to observe this beauty and above all, to never again keep their gaze to the floor.

THIBAUD POIRIER

Born to expatriate parents, Thibaud Poirier spent his childhood in many cities around the globe, but out of Houston, Montreal, Buenos Aires, and Tokyo, it was the latter that has influenced him the most: “I discovered architecture there, in particular by Tadao Ando, and it became...

ALFREDO SANCHEZ

Alfredo Sanchez was not predestined for photography. Born in Mexico in 1954, he studied law and took up a career in the private sector. “My free time was spent playing tennis, horse riding, and let’s not forget my favourite pastime: photography,” he says. Much later, towards the ...
