The artist

The career path of artist Santiago Cornejo is full of training and practice. He started out in 2004 with a degree in Multimedia and Digital Arts before embarking on the adventure of advertising photography. He collaborated with local personalities and launched personal projects. In 2010, he returned to study in Madrid (Spain) to complete a Masters in Fashion Photography and Advertising. Upon his return to Ecuador in 2012, he created his own photo studio based in Quito, known as Boxum Photo Studio. His career has continued its ascent, through collaborations with numerous brands such as Renault, Diners, Visa, PepsiCo, Doritos, and many prestigious advertising agencies. In 2017, his love of images extended to film and video production. Thirsty for knowledge, he travelled to Barcelona (Spain) to complete a second Masters, this time in Cinematography. Today he works with agencies and clients as a photographer and videographer and devotes his free time to his personal portfolio.  ... See more See less

About the artwork

Photographer Santiago Cornejo multiplies collaborations with some of his country’s most prestigious brands. To our great delight, he also devotes time to personal art projects, including this series inspired by paintings by Danish artist Vilhelm Hammershøi. Enigmatic women, empty rooms, and bare walls, all in white, grey, and tobacco tones… Santiago Cornejo pays an undeniably magnificent tribute to the Danish painter.

DAMIEN DUFRESNE

As Damien Dufresne says himself: "I let my hands do the talking". His approach is totally new in that it's at the crossroads of makeup, body art, artistic direction and photography. The resulting complexity, technicality and beauty are impressive. Damien Dufresne, a make-up arti...
