About the Artist

Ezequiel Sambresqui
Ezequiel Sambresqui is an Argentinian photographer. He studied photography in Buenos Aires, first at the Andy Goldstein School then within a photography cooperative: the SUB. A multi-talented artist, he contributed to the founding of the NGO RE-Productora whose goal is to showcase underrepresented artistic expressions in music, film, and of course, the visual arts. It was by accompanying an Argentinian group on a tour in the French Alps that he discovered the Glacier des Bossons, near Chamonix, the theatre of two air disasters. It was based on this history that he built his series Mémoire du présent in which he superimposes images of the past and recent photos. These photos earned him the Prix Levallois in 2021 and a participation at the Indian Photo Festival in Hyderabad, India. Inspired by the worlds of Vivian Mayer, Man Ray, Martin Parr, or Wes Anderson, he regularly participates in international photography workshops and is involved in many art activities beyond his profession as a photographer. His motto: “You will hold your breath today and every day.”
