About the artwork

Alina Lebedeva was 24 when she acquired her first camera. Creative and passionate, she soon became a renowned self-taught artist. The female nude is her favourite subject. Through her art, she depicts an image of sensual and feminine women and invites spectators to call into question the perception of the body and the sentient women within.

The artist

Born in the USSR from the 1980s, Alina Lebedeva launched her photography career at the age of 24. Above all, she wishes to express her creativity. A passionate, self-taught photographer, she soon made a name for herself thanks to her personal projects. Major fashion brands sought to collaborate with her. This was the start of her adventure as a professional photographer. Over time, she developed her style. She specialises in artistic and nude portraiture. Guided only by her inspiration, she does a lot of preparation prior to working in the studio. Strength, pain, sadness… armed with her lens, she strives to reveal the emotions of her subject, capturing their soul and projecting it onto glazed paper. Published in many famous fashion magazines – including Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour Magazine, Citizen K, Cosmopolitan – her work is also prized by many private collectors worldwide.  ...
