In the summer of 1968, Yuri Dojc was studying in London when his native country, Czechoslovakia, was invaded under the Warsaw Pact. Becoming a refugee, young Yuri flew away to Canada where he made Toronto his new home. Liberated from oppression and free to write his own story, he chose to transform his creative passion into a viable and fulfilling career. Since then, his practice of the eighth art has encompassed various styles. Recently, he has positioned himself as an observer of the most vulnerable historical vestiges.
