The series "AMERICANA" was realized in one month of shooting through various emblematic places of the USA. It is a real artistic approach zooming in on a moment suspended in American history and which comes, like a tender memory, to remind us of a happy and dreamy America.

Since his world is tinged with jazz, swing, blues and rock’n roll, French photographer Oliver Lavielle is a fan of the period spanning the 1940s to the 1970s. A tireless globetrotter, he finds inspiration in the legendary Route 66, which he explores at the wheel of a classic old American car. At gas stations or roadside verges, he stops to photograph shiny chrome vehicles, highlighting the perfect aerodynamics of their delicately aggressive mechanics. They are the living testaments of a wonderful era, that of the “American Dream”.
