Jake Kennedy is an artist specialising in collage. Installed in an old petrol station converted into a studio on the southern coast of the United Kingdom, in Hove, he cuts out images from old magazines, creating images under the name of Butternut Collage. More interested in old stuff than shiny novelties, this atypical character says that he refuses to allow computers to get involved in his creations. He does however manipulate the scanner with pleasure, to upload his collages to Instagram, a media that has stimulated his practice and expanded his audience.
