Stefan Christmann developed a passion for emperor penguins during a winter spent in Antarctica as a physicist, his initial training. Since then, he has made this friendly bird the main subject of his photographs. “The emperor penguin is an example for us,” he emphasizes, “even in a hostile environment, it manages to adapt thanks to the solidarity between all members of the community.” Both aesthetic and touching, his photos have since gone around the world.
