Now an acknowledged master in the art of photographing architecture, Laurent Dequick (LDK Photos) – who had a long career as a professional architect himself – goes even further in this series. By playing on symmetries and with the camera pointed skywards, he manages to transform the verticality of the buildings into horizontality with a little patch of sky between the buildings establishing the horizon. This is another, equally captivating way of approaching megalopolises and population density in Asia.
