Born and raised in France, Chloé Meynier holds a doctorate in cognitive psychology. From the start of her professional career, she flew to California. She obtained a position as a post-doctoral researcher at UC Berkeley (San Francisco), but her creative passion soon held sway. One year later, she decided to leave the world of research to devote her time entirely to photography. The artist says “I believe that art, photography in particular, was one element missing from my life.” Three years later, she obtained her masters in photography and now her unique style is shown the world over! Budapest, Tokyo, San Francisco, Paris… While most of her creations travel, some have entered private collections, and others permanent collections (Fort Wayne Museum of Art in the United States or that of the Kinsey Institute). Often an extra in her own stagings, Chloé Meynier explores various social issues like violence towards women, the roles of women, and gender identity issues.
