Born in Portugal, photographer Luis dos Santos expressed a strong attachment for the fine arts very early on. In 2008, he started to focus on photography in particular, thanks to the advent of digital and post-production image techniques. These technological advances also enabled his camera's abilities to be surpassed and enabled him to strike a perfect balance between realism and abstraction. He considers this medium as a pastime that he easily combines with his professional activity. Passionate about architecture, the photographer sources inspiration from urban environments, in which he seeks to capture dynamism and majesty, whether they are historical or contemporary. From his home in Berlin, Luis dos Santos travels abroad in order to capture new and original constructions. He has participated in numerous international exhibitions, and his images are also highly appreciated and commentated online on specialised blogs.
