Deeply influenced by surrealism, Matt Walford is an editorial and advertising photographer based in the heart of the United Kingdom. In his research into the deconstruction of nature, his images express a certain strength through their inaccessibility, unconventional angles, the intensity of their contrasts and their chromatic nuance, which he works up using digital technologies to recreate environments that are entirely products of his imagination. His passion for images appeared at the age of 15. After that, Matt Walford enriched his practice through university studies in the subject, which gave him an opportunity to perfect his technique and explore the variety of tools available to him, from digital photography to scanners. In addition to his collaborations with the brands NatWest, RBS, Tony&Guy, Rolls Royce and Time Out, the British artist has received several awards internationally including the Nikon Discovery Awards in 2008, the Sun Awards in 2011 and the Photo Masters Cup in 2012 and 2013.
