Yevhen Samuchenko signs his photographs under the name Q-lieb-in. His passion is aerial and nighttime photography, which he practices from Ukraine, where he lives and works. His work focuses on nature, viewed as a subject for patient observation: the relationship between humans and the natural world, its balances, and its fragilities. Through his images, he seeks to reveal the fragile beauty of the planet and the possibility of a dialogue between humans and nature. His work has been published in publications such as The New York Times, The Times, National Geographic, and Der Spiegel, and featured by the BBC, Nikon, UNESCO, and the Royal Photographic Society. His work has been exhibited in fourteen museums around the world; he also serves as a judge for international competitions and has received numerous awards, including the HIPA Winner’s Cup, several FIAP gold medals, the HIPA Merit Medal, and the HIPA Gold Medal, among others.
