Loïc Lagarde first studied electronics engineering, then worked in the video game industry before switching entirely to photography.Although he now lives in Paris, his childhood in Brittany gave him a taste for wide open spaces and travel. In fact, it was on a backpacking trip to Australia that he discovered photography and set up his own blog. In 2012, Airbnb (a fledgling start-up) noticed his photos posted on Flickr and hired him to photograph guest apartments around the world. He "turned his back on his life as an engineer" and embarked on a career in photography. Today, he specializes in travel photography, with a particular focus on luxury destinations and hotels. In 2022, he released a book of photos entitled Planète France published by Lonely Planet, which was also the subject of an exhibition in Paris in 2023.Very present on social networks, he accumulates over 270,000 subscribers and was selected as one of the 20 travel influencers to follow by the prestigious Harper's Bazaar magazine!
