Johan Lolos is a Belgian-Greek travel photographer born in Liège in 1987, also known as lebackpacker. After earning a master’s degree in public relations in Brussels, he left in 2013 for a two-year journey across Australia and New Zealand, where his striking landscape photography quickly gained attention. His work is defined by a strong sense of adventure, refined aesthetics, and a deep connection to the places and cultures he explores. Over the years, Johan has built a large international audience and collaborated with major global brands. In 2018, he released his first photo book, Peaks of Europe, documenting a five-month road trip through 17 European countries. The book was named one of the best travel books of the year by Forbes. Today, Johan continues to expand his work into documentary and wildlife photography, while exhibiting his images, selling limited edition prints, and sharing his experience through workshops and a photography podcast.
