About the Artist

Vivek GOYAL

Based in Singapore, Vivek Goyal spent many years in the international business sector before devoting himself fully to photography. This journey led him to travel extensively and engage with cultures around the world, an experience that continues to inform his work. Born in India, he has lived on three continents. His projects follow communities whose lives remain tied to the landscape, craftsmanship, and ritual traditions: *The Grace of Letting Go* and *The Shape of Belonging* focus on herders and horsemen in Central Asia, while *The Borrowed City* turns its gaze toward urban architecture. His series on the Holi festivals in Nandgaon, India, continues this same quest to capture the connections between people, this time amid the fervor and color of an ancient celebration, which he seems to hold particularly dear. He was honored by the Global Landscape Forum in 2026 and the Scott Dunn Photography Competition in 2024, and was a finalist for the Siena Awards and the WSIS-ITU Awards. Vivek Goyal also led the Singapore edition of the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk in October 2024.
