MORE INFORMATION ABOUT DELIVERY

The artist

Born in Brest, Mathieu Rivrin is passionate about the natural landscapes of his native Brittany. It is in those terms that he began his first photographic adventure in 2016. Aboard a helicopter, he flew over the coast of the Finistère. The storm Ruzica bore down and, from above, he saw lighthouses engulfed by waves. The sea pitched violently. He recorded the spectacle playing out before his eyes without knowing that his snapshots would make the rounds of the international press the following morning. This “storm watch” doesn’t only reveal his talent, it also marks the beginning of a photographic adventure crowned with success. From Mont Saint-Michel to la Pointe du Raz, Mathieu Rivrin records the seascapes of his homeland, in particular in violent storm conditions. His everyday life plays out to the rhythm of the weather report, with exciting photo shoots. By boat, helicopter or at the commands of a drone, he captures the legendary beauty of the sea.  ...
