Studio Morphosia is a visual design studio founded by Justine Van den Driessche, a French visual artist who works at the intersection of photography and generative art. Her practice has evolved gradually, stemming from an interest in the transformations of the image and the transitions between photography and painting. Today, she approaches artificial intelligence as a creative medium in its own right, a direct extension of photography. “Photography interests me as a space for projecting contemporary trends and the imagination. It is a medium that allows one to compose scenes and play with the codes of reality. ”
Her inspirations come from painting, particularly genre scenes and Baroque compositions, but also from fashion and cinema, for the staging of bodies. “My work explores the continuities and ruptures in the history of representation.” Each image is constructed down to the smallest detail, through patient work on composition, textures, and light.
In 2025, she was invited to participate in the group exhibition AImagine, Photography and Generative Images, presented at the Hangar Photo Art Center in Brussels as part of the PhotoBrussels Festival. There, she presented an excerpt from her Progress series.
