A Franco-American adventurer alternating between France and the United States, Luc Hardy is passionate about expeditions to distant lands. His curiosity for the world and his taste for adventure, born on the family farm in Brittany, later matured in the remotest of countries and is now affirming itself through a decisive and exacting photographic style. When he is not resting in his tepee in Connecticut, he pursues his passion, travelling frequently all over the world, taking photographs or reporting on distant lands, often for international charities. A member of the New York Explorers\' Club, Luc Hardy has undertaken a number of scientific expeditions in the polar regions and is the author of Antarctic Adventure (2005), Greenland – Impressions (2007), and Arctic – Transitions (2008). The profits from the sale of these photos are paid to environmental organisations Pax Arctica and Green Cross International, the NGO founded by Mikhail Gorbachev .
