Charis Tsevis is a Greek artist who specialises in photomosaics. From his earliest age, he showed a particular interest in the complexity of the systems around us. Communication, art, and nature, he explores the elements that constitute an ensemble and is notably passionate about computers. After studies in graphic design in Munich, he attended La Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan, obtaining a Masters in Visual Design. The strong relationship this institution maintains with gestaltism (or "psychology of forms") directly influenced his work. In it, he finds the solid basis of his art. From the early 1990s, he has experimented with photomosaics on the computer and the turning point of his career occurred in the late 2000s. At the time, the Greek artist decided to combine his interest in computing with his passion for digital mosaics in order to create a series in tribute to the big names in IT and it went viral. Published in Fortune magazine, Tsevis's work was later reproduced in the media worldwide (Time, Wired, The Wall Street Journal, etc.). Now based on the island of Cyprus, he dedicates himself to his personal art projects and collaborates with prestigious brands (Nike, Google Ferrari, PepsiCo, Ferrari, etc.) on the design of international advertising campaigns. Having won numerous awards from his peers, he also hosts classes and conferences on visual design.
