Born in 1964 in Montreal, Mike Ruiz is a photographer, director, former model and actor of Canadian origins. Aged 20, he moved to the United States to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Eight years later, he started out in photography. “I found a camera under my Christmas tree and, a few minutes later, I was obsessed. I started to film everything happening in front of me. I taught myself the complex mechanisms of the camera, but it took me a few years to realise that I could really earn my living with my work.” Now based in New Jerset, Mike Ruiz is famous for his beauty, celebrities, and fashion photographs. His work has been published in international many magazines such as Vanity Fair, Prestige Hong Kong, L'Officiel Singapore, L'Officiel Australia, Condé Nast Traveler, Elle (Italy), Vogue (Spain and Brazil). He has collaborated with Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, Beyonce, and Prince, among others. Mike Ruiz has also frequently appeared in the American series Next Top Model and Rupaul’s Dragrace, as well as in dozens of other televised representations.
