About the artwork

The majestic black-and-white portraits by British photographer Lee Jeffries reveal the nobility of the homeless. Characterised by a sense of nostalgia, they present the furrows of faces marked by life experiences. The photographer’s humanistic interest in the homeless was first manifested in 2008. An unusual encounter marked the start of his social and artistic approach that seeks to denounce universal injustice.
