Brought up in different cities across the globe, Thibaud Poirier discovered his passion for architecture while in Tokyo. “My early appreciation of Tadao Ando’s work was transformed into a passion, and today architecture is the main subject of my photography,” he explains. Even though he has photographed many interiors, libraries, and churches, he is equally interested in building facades, whether they be in Paris, in front of the Paradis Latin, the city’s oldest cabaret, or in Hong Kong, whose skyscrapers are the symbol of overpopulated megacities.
