Born in Canton in 1973, photographer Jeff Kwok chose Hong Kong as his adoptive island. Located several kilometres from his original city, he rediscovered the land of his ancestors who lived there prior to their exodus to continental China during World War II. After studies in Germany, he continued his university cursus with a Masters in Finance at the prestigious University of British Columbia (UBC) in Canada. The young man put his technical skills and enthusiasm to good use in the megalopolis, moving there to develop a variety of activities, both commercial and artistic. Passionate about culture, architecture and landscapes, he takes sensitive portraits of the countries he travels to, full of admiration and poetry. While his encounter with photography occurred in 2000, his talent was recognised four years later with the selection of one of his images for the entrance of a restaurant. Finding the confidence to pursue his passion, he thus started his own business and now criss-crosses five continents to take photographs that are gaining recognition in Asia.
