Yoann Fournier

Immersed from childhood in the effervescence of punk, garage rock and the skate and surf counterculture, Yoann Fournier immersed himself in a world where instinct took precedence over convention. Art was an obvious choice for him, and images a privileged means of expression. As a photographer and artistic director, he combines professional collaborations with a more intimate quest for his own visual language. With KILL YOUR IDOL, his signature series of works, he pushes the boundaries of collage to turn it into a manifesto. Freed from the rules of perspective and proportion, he tears, superimposes, draws and assembles fragments and icons in compositions where chaos flirts with harmony. What do they have in common? A vanishing point, inviting the viewer to plunge into a psychedelic, unreal delirium.
