Born in Les Lilas in 1990, Alexandre Chamelat grew up in Toulouse before moving to Bordeaux. A graduate from the ETPA (École de Photographie et du jeu vidéo), his artistic approach develops through the discovery of a territory in close connection with humanity and the environment. Through aestheticism, the artist thus broaches contemporary subjects and raises questions. Since 2015, Alexandre Chamelat has been a member of Cyclop, a collective of auteur photographers whose objective has a common outcome: to explore, discover, and share through the same medium. The goal? To create complex and collective instruments of thought. For both personal work and commissions, the collective’s priority is to express their vision of the world.
