FRANCK BOHBOT STUDIO

Born in the suburb of Paris, Franck Bohbot set down his suitcases in 2013 in the borough of Brooklyn in New York. Since 2008, he has been recognised for his photographs in colour of urban scenes and public spaces. Fascinated by cinematic iconography, he focuses his creation around the relationship between individuals and architecture. Each series contains this same photographic intention: the enigmatic atmosphere, documentary approach and timeless character of each of them evoke a cosy, dreamlike, and almost unfathomable space, as though taken straight from a dream. Franck Bohbot thus immortalises street scenes, swimming pools, libraries, basketball courts, museums, cinemas, and fairgrounds but also artists, athletes or artisans. His works have been hailed by numerous critics and published in New York Times Magazine, The Financial Times, National Geographic, Corriere Della Serra, Le Nouvel Observateur, or Les Inrockuptibles. He received the Prix International de Photographie in 2013 and the Prix Archifoto 2014.
