Why photography ?
Photography has always been there, accompanying me since I started university. Photography as an
instrument to tell the story of the idea of a project, as an expression of that idea or as an aesthetic
element in the narration of that idea of architecture.
Your inspiration ?
Architecture, the city in general and its image, or the image we perceive of the city as users of public
space. The beauty of the everyday.
What is unique in your photographs ?
I think the architect's view of the city. It is an analytical look, the result of years and years of study
and observation of the complex functioning of cities, which does not forget aesthetics and harmony,
proportions, etc... It is complicated to explain, it is almost intuitive. I wouldn't take the photos I do if
I hadn't studied architecture and urban planning.
The context of creation of your new series
The cities and my land where I grew up.
Any anecdote for us ?
Not everyone understood the change from architect and urban planner to photographer
The picture you would have loved to shoot ?
Any photo that my father was involved in. Anything I could show him. I think he liked the fact that I
took pictures, even more than he liked the fact that I built buildings.
The latest prizes / awards / prides you got ?
I have never participated in a photo contest.
Your next projects ?
To keep shooting photos, to enjoy my work.
Your motto ?
Architecture led me to photography, photography gave me back my passion for the city and
architecture multiplied by a thousand.
Any crush on a YK picture ?
I am a person who always sees the good side of things. I could learn from each and every
artist in YK
