Perazna
Born in Turbo, Colombia, Melissa Perazna discovered photography at the age of fifteen, when she got her hands on her grandfather's film camera. Marked by her humble roots and driven by a deep desire to create, she moved to the United States to bring her dreams to life. A photographer and poet, she has been building an intimate and assertive body of work for over ten years, blending eroticism, portraiture, and fashion. Her signature: an analog grain, natural light, and female bodies revealed with softness and power. Through her images, she captures much more than moments: a breath of romanticism, a force of emancipation, a tender and bold celebration of the human spirit.

Exhibitions
My work has been exhibited across the world, most meaningfully through my project Docile — an intimate visual essay born from the ancestral strength and quiet sensuality of Amazonian women in Latin America. In 2012, Docile began its journey through Europe, with exhibitions in Paris, Lithuania, and throughout the Basque region, weaving a soft thread between cultures and geographies. That same year, the project found a long-term home at the Museo de la Mujer in Mexico City, where it lived for an entire year — held within a space dedicated to honoring the depth, contradictions, and power of the feminine.
