L'artista

From art studies to advertising imagery and sculpture, the photographic eye of Italian Daniele Tacchinardi is fuelled by an incessant creative curiosity that he has experimented with over the years and during his extensive travels. His passion for images began at the age of 20, when he had just acquired his first manual camera, enabling him to perfect his technical skills and study the composition of planes, focus, the use of lighting, and colours. He began to specialise with the advent of the digital age when post-production software started to be increasingly utilised. These technological advances also enabled the capacities of his camera to be surpassed and helped him to strike a perfect balance between realism and abstraction. In 2011, after a trip to New York, Daniele Tacchinardi created his first series Impressioni Urbane about contemporary urban sprawl, then continued with the Consapevolezza Globale project that denounces human mass consumerism.  ... Sull'opera

From Milan to New York to Dubai, Daniele Tacchinardi photographs cities without skies, immersed within a vertical modernity, without the slightest natural element that might allow observers to catch their breath. The landscape he confronts only exists through architecture and the multitude of anonymous windows that fill the smooth surface of the photographic paper. Through saturated shots, the Italian artist represents a contemporary world that is collapsing so quickly that he can only catch it by freezing it in a way that simultaneously amplifies its fall. Entitled Public Housing, the Future, this photograph was created in 2016 opposite a tentacular architectural complex in Italy. It belongs to the series Impressioni Urbane begun in 2011 in New York and anchors the spectator within a stifling and oppressive reality.
