BIOGRAFÍA

Jatenipat Ketpradit, alias JKboy, nació en 1983 y lleva unos diez años fotografiando. En 2017, fue incluido en el top 100 de los mejores fotógrafos internacionales de paisaje del año y desde entonces ha colaborado con importantes revistas como National Geographic (España), The Guardian (Reino Unido), Bangkok post (Tailandia) y la revista técnica Photo and Technique International Magazine. Actualmente es además miembro del Servicio Profesional de Nikon y ponente en la Nikon School. Durante un viaje a Mongolia, compartió la vida de varias tribus mongolas. Fue una revelación y, desde entonces, Jatenipat Ketpradit viaja por todo el mundo al encuentro de los pueblos en los rincones más remotos de la Tierra. La serie de fotos que ofrece YellowKorner es la que le ha otorgado el premio International Portrait Photographer of the Year en 2022. Se trata del retrato de un hombre de la tribu Suri de Etiopía, acompañado de sus hijos y con una ametralladora en la mano. El contraste entre su vestimenta tradicional y esta arma es sorprendente: "Tomé esta foto para mostrar los conflictos a los que se enfrenta el pueblo Suri en su forma de vida", subraya el fotógrafo. ...
