Born in southwest France, Oliver Lavielle is a photographer in love with the period from the 1940s to 1970s. His world is tinged with jazz, swing, blues, rock'n 'roll and a pinch of disco. Unmoved by the contemporary aesthetic, his subjects are mostly expressed in black and white or a period-style colorimetry that his subjects best express. The photographer is fond of representing the atmospheres that he would've liked to experience for himself. Passionate about cinema, these compositions are dynamic and inspired by Hollywood stagings. It is in Asia and the United States that this insatiable globetrotter finds his inspiration. A pilot as a hobby, his photos of aircraft intimately portray the special relationship that he maintains with his \"toys\" as he likes to call them. Entering his world means travelling through time and since Olivier is also a steward for a French airline, a single phrase could sum up his work nicely: "Welcome aboard!" ...
