VIE PRIVÉE

About this photograph

The actress was 28 years old when she was directed by Louis Malle for the film "Vie privée" or "A Very Private Affair." The story involved a woman who became a celebrated actress overnight. Some scenes were adapted from Brigitte Bardot's own life. In the 1960s, she was both adored and hated, the subject of fantasy and hate. The filming of "A Very Private Affair" narrowly missed being a disaster. The filming of a scene in Geneva scene had to be stopped when "Back to France whore" was shouted out loud.
