Peace and SerenityAbout this photograph
?One of the most gratifying aspects of ski-touring in the mountains is the peace and tranquillity of being able to be alone. In winter, there are very few people in the mountains, so you are rewarded by absolute calm and a kind of beauty that is absent during the other seasons. This period of the year is particularly harsh, but once you?re prepared, you are able to appreciate the intrinsic qualities of nature and seize this moment, frozen in time. The contrast between dark rocks and white snow, as well as the distant presence of a pair of skiers contributes to this impression of timelessness and harmony.? M.F.Read more Read less
