MORE INFORMATION ABOUT DELIVERY

The artist

Since his most tender infancy, Anatol escaped into colourful worlds that were very far removed from the strict rules and requirements of his family. His imaginary world very quickly became an important reality – something that he could keep close to him and take anywhere – “I understood the importance of distancing myself as much as possible from the world at the age of eight.” With his art, Anatol found an instrument allowing a large audience to discover his world of dreams. The DREAM series is his first photographic series. Welcome to Anatol’s world.  ... See more See less

About the artwork

In his DREAM WORLD series CAKES AND ROAD TRIPS, Anatol shows his inner conflict between the desperate urge for freedom and his longing for a home and some stability on the other hand. Anatol uses symbols like balloons standing for freedom and easiness, a caravan, the very symbol for his nomadic, restless life...he then breaks those symbols by tying the balloons so they cannot really break free and staging the caravan showing it obviously has not been moved for a while. Welcome to Anatol?s Worlds.

ALFREDO SANCHEZ

Alfredo Sanchez was not predestined for photography. Born in Mexico in 1954, he studied law and took up a career in the private sector. “My free time was spent playing tennis, horse riding, and let’s not forget my favourite pastime: photography,” he says. Much later, towards the ...

PEDRO JARQUE KREBS

Ferocious beauties isolated from all context, as though they had been captured in their most secret intimacy, this is the remarkable artistic gesture of Peruvian photographer Pedro Jarque Krebs, restoring to the animals some of their stolen dignity. After studying philosophy at t...
